Services
Founded as a regional company, SCC’s main objective is to develop necessary services defined by ENTSO-E’s Policy Paper “Future TSO Coordination for Europe” and by ENTSO-E MLAs related to RSCs in order to fulfil operational planning standards which are defined by European Network Codes/Guidelines. According to RSCI MLA, main services that RSCs should provide to TSOs are:
IGMs – Validation and merging of Individual Grid Models (IGMs) – Common Grid Model (CGM) creation
OPC – Outage Planning Coordination
CSA – Coordinated Security Analysis
STA – Short-Term Adequacy forecast
CCC – Coordinated Capacity Calculation
RSCs grow later into RCCs. Regulation (EU) 2019/943 defines a set of functions performed by RCCs, which include, among other things, the aforementioned functions. These are often informally called CORE RCC services.

Regulation (EU) 2019/943 defines as many as 16 functions that one RCC should perform. In addition to the regulated ones, RCCs may have some unregulated functions and services. All in all, in addition to the above-mentioned 5 core services of RCC, SCC also provides the following services on a regular basis:
CGS – Coordination in Critical Grid Situations
Identification of Regional Electricity Crisis Scenarios
Consistency Check of Power System Defense Plans
CGMA – Common Grid Model Alignment
RAIR – Regional Incident Analysis and Reporting
Also, SCC has implemented the function of Training and Certification of operational staff, which is one of the functions defined by the mentioned regulation.
